Volvo Cars is the 5th most sold car brand in Finland, and had roughly 7 % market share of the sold cars in Finland during the ten years I worked with the brand.
Our agency was working with the online marketing for Volvo Cars in Finland. I started in the team with simpler tasks like updating content on volvocars.fi website and creating simple campaign landing pages and banner ads. Later on I took over as the lead visual designer for Volvo Cars Finland’s online presence, designing online campaigns as part of bigger campaigns.
My team pitched and won the marketing account for Volvo Cars Finland, and I took over as the lead visual designer for the account. My task was to design marketing communication concepts and execute them in print advertising, TV and online campaigns with my team. My team was also continuously working with the positioning of the Volvo Cars brand in Finland as part of the global communications.
Along with somewhat 5-6 bigger campaigns per year we also designed the customer communications in print and online newsletters and dealer material that helped them to communicate the right commercial messages. We also arranged workshops with the dealers’ designers to help them with the brand communication. I also designed the visual material for different kinds of events.
I was also responsible for updating content for volvocars.fi. I was in lead of 5 different renewals on the website over the years, creating structure and content and aligning them with the global site platform.
I created and managed the social media channels for Volvo Cars Finland, and created the social media strategy to suit the needs of the local audience as part of the global strategy.
